I saw your tweets, along with everyone else’s tonight night as I was trying to sort through all of this. I’ve been on the road this weekend, and have been trying to get caught up on everything. I can only apologize to you for this mess, but let me say unequivocally that I am NOT Alexa. I operate a web hosting service where she had her web sites. This is why my name appears in one of her domain registrations I guess (part of the services I provide include registered the domain name for my customers). I’ve been running a hosting services for several years now (i’d be happy to let you login to see the control panel to prove that if you’d like, not that it’d prove anything about this I guess). I really can’t talk about any of the other things because I haven’t even had time to digest all of this yet. I’ve already been fired from my job, and so now I have to find a way to get myself home. I’m not sure yet what, if anything, I can do about any of this. Alexa has had her phone shut off and her e-mails are bouncing back now, so she’s disappeared. She sent me a one-line e-mail Friday that all it said was “I’m so incredibly sorry” and told me to delete any trace of myself online. I had no idea what that meant at the time. Believe it nor not, I’ve only met with one person that she hooked me up with – just one. And everyone’s making it seem as if there’ve been thousands of them it seems. She was referring me to them because she knew me from the years I’ve been hosting her sites is all. I don’t think there’s anything wrong with that, but they just never seemed to work out timing wise. Anybody else I’ve seen has been through my own work, not her.
Don’t worry about trying to defend me or anything (thanks for not jumping on on the bandwagon though). Whatever’s been done has been done. Hopefully I’ll be able to figure out who did it and pursue legal action against them. I’m just in a state of shock right now, so that’s all I have to say.
